I offer the following sound-related services:

I offer sound design services, including the following:

• Sound synthesis- the creation of new sounds for a specific purpose.
• Soundtracks- the orchestration of a series of sounds over time.

Using microcontroller electronics, I am able to provide sound installations to fit custom requirements, as well as the audio to be triggered.

Imagine a room in which your users unknowingly (or knowingly!) trigger appropriate sounds to orchestration that you determine. It's exciting, isn't it?

My latest work is a piece of sound design and installation for State Records, New South Wales, for an exhibition called "In Living Memory".

It is an exhibition of surviving photographs from the records of the NSW Aborigines Welfare Board, from 1919 to 1966, and is presented respectfully and attractively in the State Records Gallery, within the Sydney Records Centre on 2 Globe Street in The Rocks, Sydney.

The system I installed features an infra-red beam interruption detection system engineered from scratch. When the beam is broken, a relay is tripped which allows an already playing mp3 player to send its output to an amplifier. When visitors to the exhibition walk up to a particular location in the room, a sound accompanies their experience.

I created the soundscape itself using sounds that I gathered in the field using including rolling waves, Kookaburra calls, crackling fire, and night crickets.
